This course covers the Pastoral Epistles written by Paul to Timothy, Epistles written to Titus and Philemon and the General Epistles written by James, the half-brother of Jesus, Peter, John and Jude in extensive detail. I Timothy has 6 chapters, II Timothy has 4 chapters, Titus has 3 chapters and Philemon has one chapter for a total of 14 chapters. In the General Epistles, James has 5 chapters, I Peter has 5 chapters, II Peter has 3 chapters, I John has 5 chapters and II John, III John and Jude all have one chapter each for a total of 21 chapters. There are a total of 35 chapters to be read and meditated on during the duration of the course. Short to medium chapters are covered in a single day's required reading, while chapters with significant content are divided up into multiple days of reading by stopping at logical break points in the narrative. Special attention will be given to noteworthy events, comments, parables and doctrinal statements, with full explanations provided where Scripture may be unclear or confusing.
