Final Exam

This course covers the Psalms, a collection of song lyrics, poems and responsive readings which are found at the center of the Bible. The Psalms are divided into 5 Books. Book 1, which includes Psalms 1 - 41, was written largely by David. Book 2, which includes Psalms 42 - 72, was largely written by a group of musical authors called the Sons of Korah. Book 3, which includes Psalms 73 - 89, was written largely by an individual named Asaph, the Sons of Korah and other Temple musicians. Book 4, which includes Psalms 90 - 106, was written largely by David and a group of unknown authors. Book 5, which includes Psalms 107 - 150, was written by David, Solomon and other unknown authors. All together, there are 150 Psalms to be read and meditated on during the duration of the course. Special attention will be given to noteworthy events, comments and doctrinal statements, with full explanations provided where Scripture may be unclear or confusing.
