Prophecy
in the Epistles deals with the various prophecies issues by Paul,
Peter, John, Jude and other writers of the New Testament letters.
Prophetic styles and circumstances are analyzed, and patterns and
guidelines are given careful study, particularly the guidelines
issued by Paul in I Corinthians. The role of the Congregational
Prophet is analyzed, and compared to the role of the full-time Itinerant
Prophet. Prophetic scope and assignment is also analyzed, and clear-cut
guidelines for prophecy in the New Testament church are laid out. |
